(**) Sojong or Practice of Confession, by the Second Buddha of Oddiyana. “To fully restore all positivity, to clear away all negativity; to replenish (so) virtue and purity (jung) harmful deeds; the Tathagata has taught the practice of Sojong.” On Sojong days, the observance of the Eight Vows of Mahayana Sojong or the practice of Narak Kong Shak are recommended. The Eight Vows of Mahayana Sojong are: to refrain from killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying, intoxication, taking a high or luxurious seat, singing and dancing or wearking ornaments, and eating after midday.
